1974 AT THE ABBA MUSEUM, STOCKHOLM.

The band were so excited to go to the ABBA MUSEUM in STOCKHOLM ahead of their performance at the TYROL THEATRE (next door).

During their visit, the band were asked to give an impromptu performance of Dancing Queen on Benny Andersson’s White Piano – of course they happily obliged!

A fantastic afternoon, looking at all of the ABBA memorabilia before rocking out to a SOLD OUT crowd in the theatre.

The show will be busy throughout December performing at corporate and private Christmas events.

GREAT SHOWS COMING UP SOON

The 1974 Show is set to appear at the prestigious Straumedagane Festival in Norway in a few weeks time.

This fantastic event will be lots of fun for the whole family, you can catch them headlining on saturday night and performing in the afternoon on Sunday.

1974 ROCK SNOWY SWEDEN TO RAVE REVIEWS

The 1974 abba tribute show stopped off in a very cold and wintery Sweden to perform some fantastic public shows to sold out crowds.

TJ MEETS ROCK LEGENDS AT BRIGHTON MUSIC AWARDS

TJ bumped into some of Rock&Roll’s most famous faces backstage whilst singing at the 2010 Brighton Music Awards.

Led Zeppelin star Jimmy Page and The Who’s Roger Daltrey were just some of the big names attending the ceremony, which was held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

“It was so amazing to meet some of Rock’s Royalty, Jimmy Page was so lovely!”

1974 SCANDINAVIAN WINTER TOUR

The not so Swedish Superstars are heading back to the mother land of Abba (SWEDEN) for some public shows & Christmas parties on their Scandinavian Autumn Tour 2010

Everyone is looking forward to performing in Scandinavia, especially in Sweden again.

The guys recall…

“Last time we were in Stockholm, we had the honour of meeting the lovely Agnetha Fältskog of Abba….it was very special but surreal to perform Dancing Queen with one of the original Abba members dancing in front of us!”

ROBIN – MUSICAL DIRECTOR FOR THE HARMONIES

Robin recently featured as Musical Director working with the new female vocal group The Harmonies, the voices of the Womens Institute signed to Universal Records.

As well as arranging most of the songs on the album, Robin also wrote many of the complex vocal harmony parts & featured as a musician on the album playing piano, keyboards & horn.

So far, the group have appeared on several BBC TV programmes and also performed at Clarence House for Prince Charles.

1974 PERFORM AT CANNIZARO PARK FESTIVAL 2010

1974 are pleased to be performing at this years Wimbledon Common Cannizaro Festival, The festival is situated in the charming Italian Gardens of Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon, in central London. Other acts on the festival include: Comedian – Rufus Hound, Soul Sensation – Mica Paris & F1 pundit – Eddie Jordan with an all star band.

1974 will be performing the festival’s final night concert on the 17th July. Tickets vary from an uncovered Picnic Area, a seated covered grandstand to a complete VIP Hospitality Package, Gates open at 6 pm,

1974 PERFORM AT TWICKENHAM STADIUM

1974 joined X-Factor stars Olly Murs, Jamie Archer & Lucie Jones at one of Guinness Premiership’s most exciting events of the year,  ‘The Big Game 2’ which was held at Twickenham Stadium London, on 27th Dec 09.
1974 ‘kicked off’ the days action with a great performance in the middle of the pitch to a crowd of 80,000 people and joining them were the LV Love Girls, getting everyone in the party mood before the game with the Harlequins v Wasps began.

‘Many thanks to all for a great day…what a great game!’

AILEEN & JULES MEET ABBA BOYS

Aileen & Jules were excited to meet Benny Anderson & Björn Ulvaeus backstage at Hyde Park, London. The ‘THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC’ concert was organised by Benny & Björn, a unique night celebrating the wonderful music of Abba, inviting artistes such as Kylie Minogue, Chaka Khan, Elaine Paige and many others to perform some classic Abba  songs.

‘As long time admirers of Abba’s music, it was great to finally meet Benny & Björn.  We were introduced to Benny’s son Ludwig, who mid conversation dashed off to bring his dad over to meet us. (Wow!) Benny was lovely, a very sweet man, and it was great to chat to him. We also got to meet some of the original musicians who worked with Abba.
To round off this special evening, we were all treated to a private performance of some Swedish folk music by Benny & the Orsla Fiddlers.’

TJ SINGS WITH SMOKEY ROBINSON

TJ Sings with Smoket RobinsonTJ was honoured to sing with Motown legend Smokey Robinson, at a private show for Virgin boss Richard Branson in New York. The event was the 25 year celebration for Virgin Atlantic. Guests include many stars such as Samuel.L.Jackson.

Tj was at the event singing with the Sway Allstar Orchestra. Smokey joined them on stage where he sang a duet with her. Denise Williams and Ashford & Simpson also got up to sing with the orchestra.

AILEEN SINGS WITH SIR TOM JONES

Aileen was excited to be working once again with the legendary Sir Tom Jones, she was thrilled to be a part of his 2009 ’24 Hours’ Tour.

ROBIN & JULES MEET AGNETHA

Robin & Jules were most fortunate to meet Agnetha Falskog (of Abba) at a TV Awards Ceremony in Stockholm. The boys were performing at the event with Björn Again, and to everyone’s surprise Agnetha was attending as a guest. She came backstage and they met her before their performance. She was both charming and beautiful.

‘It was truly amazing, not only to meet Agnetha in person but to perform on stage in front of her…How exciting!! Definately a once in a life time experience!’

1974 FEATURE ON MAMMA MIA ALBUM

Following the success of Mamma Mia the movie, worldwide publishing giants ‘Music Sales Group’ planned to release an official ‘Mamma Mia’ songbook and album. We were asked to record all of the vocals for this project.

AILEEN BUMPS INTO MATS RONANDER

Aileen bumped into Mats Ronander backstage at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Mats was one of the original musicians that worked with Abba. He was invited by Benny & Bjorn to perform with ABBA on their world tour in 1979 when they needed a guitar player that could sing, as well as play.
